Primex Design & Fabrication, PD&F, (formerly Woodruff Corporation), the leading manufacturer of reusable, returnable and recyclable plastic shipping containers, custom interior dunnage, protective packaging, point of purchase displays and retail packaging, recently announced the appointment of industry veteran Linda Balwinski to the position of territory business manager. With an extensive background in design, production and marketing, Balwinski strengthens PD&F’s presence in the Great Lakes region, including Ohio, Michigan and Indiana.
Balwinski joins Primex after over twenty years of relevant industry experience in protective packaging, work-in-process systems and factory to factory shipping solutions. Prior to joining Primex, Balwinski worked with several manufacturers of protective packaging, interior dunnage and shipping containers.
According to Primex Business Unit Director Doug Borgsdorf, “we’re expecting Linda to not only grow sales in her territory, but to provide market insights, strategy and improved customer communications. Her previous experience and expertise in Lean Six Sigma, negotiating and problem solving all attracted us to her.”
“I am looking forward to contributing to Primex in many areas, particularly in the automotive, consumer goods and appliance businesses where I’ve had significant success. I’ll be working closely with our protective packaging market manager, Ray Schwartz, to identify opportunities and help develop innovative custom solutions for our clients,” said Balwinski.
As PD&F increases efforts to leverage its experience with Tier 1 and Tier 2 automotive suppliers, Balwinski and Schwartz will join efforts to demonstrate the efficiencies of PD&F’s unique Bubble-X™ Sleeve Pak and interior protective packaging products designed specifically for that market.
Balwinski will work from her office in northern Ohio and can be reached at (765) 914-9680. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management from Wilmington College in Ohio.
